Need to draw need to draw need to drawwwww

Thu Feb 26, 2009, 10:59 PM
Holy feces I haven't touched deviantart in so long that it's gotten dusty. To anyone who actually gave a rats ass about the stuff I posted (Read: No one) I apologize for the complete and utter lack of activity.

Basically the deal is in the Summer I got a sweet new job that had me so crazy busy that I put drawing on the back burner for awhile. Then I got lazy, then I just didn't draw any new stuff for months. I've been out taking some pictures of the city I live in which I plan to post up pretty soon. I've also been playing a lot of music. Currently I'm playing in a band called Partial Indifferences I'd say we're busting up the Vancouver scene but the biggest show we've done was a 30 minute set for a Battle of The Bands (Which we didn't win.) If you wanna check it out go to [link] .

Anyway stuff has been crazy for me for the last while but I really really really wanna get back into drawing, I was even doodling at work today and being like "BLEEEEH" so like hopefully I'll get my shit together and draw some shit or at least doing something so sweet that if anyone busted my balls about not drawing I could be like "WELL I JUST DID THIS" and they'd be like "OH SHIT THAT'S REALLY BADASS" and then I'd be all "YEA IT TOTALLY WAS LET'S KEEP YELLING!" then we'd totally keep yelling.

Anyway rant is out, to anyone reading this does anyone have any suggestions for some shit for me to draw to get back into the swing of things? I've been reading Eyeshield and Naruto so maybe some fan arts? If you combine the words fan and art it would be fart....

...sweet.

PS:

Photos

Thu Apr 24, 2008, 5:38 PM
A lot of people know I've worked as a photographer for the last few years and a few have asked me why I haven't ever posted any photos. Namely it was because well I didn't have a lot to post and the company I worked for obviously wouldn't let me use the stuff I took for them. However I found some of my old photos so I figured I'd post them up.

Planning on fixing my old SLR and taking more pictures of the city but not sure how soon that'll happen. For now enjoy these!

Fri Mar 14, 2008, 10:56 AM
Yo guys! Long time no post, I guess. So it's about that time where I need to make some extra cash on the side, and I need to do some more art too. Pretty much what I'm gonna do is offer up colored drawings, essentially like anything you see in my gallery already for 15$ a pop. Gonna make a 5 person waiting list so first come first serve. Enjoy! If you want one done send me a note!

Sketch Cards!

Sun Dec 9, 2007, 3:14 PM
Ok so I've been doing a lot of these quick sketches on tiny cards I got from work. It's a lot of just doodling while bored but a lot of them came out cool. Plus I got to use my pretty copic markers that I haven't used for a really long time, oh and high lighters. Anyway I know the scans kinda blow so I'm gonna work on getting better scans of them, for now I just wanted them up.

Probably gonna keep doing them, they're sorta fun and I don't have to put to much time into them. If anyone wants one or whatever I'll totally do one up for you for like cheap, probably would make a good Christmas card or something. No wait I've got it.

For the holiday season any commission purchased from me comes with a complimentary sketch card (I'll even mail it to you with a print of the actual commission, so how about that!)

Alright gonna go catch a bus back to my apartment now, leave comments and love!

Review time!

Fri Nov 16, 2007, 1:08 AM
Alright so I figure I have this nifty journal here on Devart that people sometimes look at, and I totally have opinions, and thoughts to share. So I figured time to share them! But my opinions aren't like...all in your face or nothin, mostly since they're on video games, and the ones I like, and I think you should like them too, so cheggit out.

First off I'm gonna start by talking about a game for the DS. One that was no surprise awesome. I'm talking about Zelda and the Phantom Hourglass! The whole game is played with the touch screen, which at first I thought was bananas! Infact when I got it I was annoyed by the idea, but I kept playing. After a little while I really started to love the control style, it felt so fluid and easy to use. Then there's the story, now I love Zelda stories almost always, but what I'm an even bigger sucker for is arrogant pansy hero types. I was pleased to find that Phantom Hourglass, or PH (As it's a PH fat game.) had a totally awesome one by the name of Linebeck. I won't get into the story as to not spoil anything, but I will say it's a piratey adventure with an awesome cast of characters.

Now the story was a huge highlight of this game for me, but I couldn't get over how fluid the game was, seriously you use the stylus for almost everything, even writting notes and such for later in dungeons and for treasure hunting. It was really cool use of the touch screen and for once not just a flippin gimmick. Plus it let you make great use of items like the boom-a-rang and bombachus, hell even using the sword in the game is epic!

The side quests are pretty cool too. There's a bunch of diffrent stuff you can collect to make your ship look cooler. Gems that are like the golden skulls of Ocarina of time, which give you diffrent skillz (Mad Skillz.) the more you collect. There's also stuff you can salvage from the sea, some fun minigames!

Oh and did I mention the game looks and sounds great? The style is awesome and full 3D, plus there's some really cool paper cut out cutscenes that are just wicked awesome! It like watching a story book, I personally love it! As far as the sound goes, usually in a game I don't care, save for a few. Honestly in Zelda if I didn't love the soundtrack I'd probably have skipped it, but I'm happy I didn't because the game sounds amazing! Every sound in the game sounds soooo good. And the music is a full orchestral score, it's madness!

Basically what Im trying to say is if you like Zelda games, and own a DS, or just own a DS you should pick this one up, it rocks. Rocks so much that if it were human I'd probably try to hook up with it *Waggles Eyebrows.*
